It's hard to commit to a challenge like this when you have a full time job and a long commute where you are too tired to do anything after coming back home, but I definitely want to do a similar challenge to get back into consistently painting!
Thank you Soleen! Trust me I'm very grateful I have so much free time to do this challenge!! I'm sure if I was still working full time, I wouldn't of managed to do 22 hehehe I hope you get to complete a challenge like this someday
These paintings are lovely and you should feel proud of this collection! I did a challenge similar to this with 30 days of small acrylic paintings. It was tough and I fell behind in other areas of my life but I felt so proud of the achievement. I didn't love them all but overall, so satisfying.
Love how the paintings turned out! I love the look of gouache so much. Painting 22 days in a row is definitely no small thing. *high five* I have been trying to get back into my sketchbook, and away from just digital. So I've been challenging myself to just sketch at least one thing everyday. Small or big, doesnt matter, just something tangible and analog.
Thank you Brittany! It was definitely a challenge!! It really helps to keep a sketchbook on hand! Filling out a page no matter what it is a good step in the right direction:)
Lovely pictures - I have to admit I tried gouache once and then ran screaming from it! Perhaps I should have another go! To add to websites for reference picture, I get all mine from Unsplash. They are really great and it is super rare I can’t find what I am looking for.
Thank youu Rogue Crow! Hehe I was in the same boat! Doing this challenge definitely helped me push through the fear of painting with gouache! I use Unsplash when I look for textures and cool gradients! I'll try looking up photography next time around:)
These are lovely, I should try this as I am also trying to get comfortable with gouache. For reference you might try pexels, they have free stock photos. I use them, TtrueRef or adorkastock (those last two are best for figure) references.
I I worked in my Strathmore mix media sketchbook, which has 5’5× 8 paper, with roughly an 0.5 to 1 inch of bleed so I would say there no bigger than 4×6! Hope it helps🩷

Ki. That's quite a collection you got there. If I had money to spare. It would be proud in my room, before the door.
Thanks for sharing your struggle, I feel it. I could never do the same thing for 22 days..
Always have to break pattern. So, it's cool. To know, achievement is done. If stick around, to your quest. What a great series in collage..
Thank you Vimal!
Keep Creating, Kiara. I feel the world will be a better place with your 22 day art industry in it.

You're welcome! Artist don't gatekeep.👍🏻 I’ll try to give it a go when I have time! I'm curious, what size were your daily paintings, typically?
